It's WEDNESDAY! What's On Yours???#776

 Morning Crafty Peoples. It's a WOYWW day, again! Pop over to Stamping Ground and join in!! As you can see...still no luck at adding a new background to my blog! Never mind...To stop me thinking about it, and going in and probably deleting it all by mistake, (like I nearly did to my digi store) I thought I'd play with my smaller Gel Plate.    I'm waiting for some crafty goodies to arrive from Craft Stash, as they were having a sale, and seeing with the extra VIP discount it means the T Holzt inks I want/need, will be cheaper than where I normanly buy them, which is Emerald Crafts in Lyndhurst. Sadly they will be closing their doors at the end of the month after about 17-18 years! Where am I going to buy my large bottle of Collall glue from!? I was going to go up there this morning, but then I had a message that my package would be arriving in an hour (yeah ok) So I played with my paints...disaster!! The paper stuck to my gelplate... I took a picture of my mess, and even that came out blurry...Then!!! ding ding on my phone, (not on the front door) and my package had been delivered! Yay!

So, with my new goodies, I salvaged my mistake... and used my new inks and oxide inks over some stencils (I had in my stash) and way hey! I think that will do for some ATC's.

My Craft Stash package contained TimHolzts inks and oxide, and a notch and corner punch, which was less than half price. But I think my baragain of the week, from a charity shop, was the 'as new' six hole puncher, for £3, seen in the left hand corner.  I've been looking for one of those for ages, so, a lucky find! Oops....I forgot it was T For Tuesday!

 Sorry peoples, had to go have another blood test early this  morning...forgot it was T for Tuesday, went shopping....Came home  about midday, starving!!  So had a hot Chocolate and a hot Cross buttered Bun and scoffed it down in one, (naughty naughty naughty) watching Ceri on YouTube doing his  Swap and Make with PM Part 1, 2 and 3 and 4... SO! There's no breakfast pictures, aren't you lucky!! Just an empty plate, mug and glass.

I'd quickly cleared out my shopping bag as I'd been 'book and magazine foraging' in the second hand shops, ready to do I bit of cutting out... The Magazine's were easy, I have no trouble cutting them up, but when it comes down to books... no! I find it very  very hard! (unless I manage to buy two the same) I hunt out books that I like to look of, no matter what the subject, if the colour, the size, if it feels right when you hold it in my hand, and the price it right, I instantly fall in love with it! 

Today I  found that oh so cute tiny, 'Love Sonnets by Shakespeare'. The Readers Regest Field Guide To Wild Flowers' (which I know I won't be cutting up... as I have a few paperbacks with almost the same pictures and, '1,339 Facts' ~things like.... A queen ant can fertilise her eggs with sperm she's stored for 30 years' ...Lord Kitchener had four Spaniels called Shot, Bang, Miss, and Damn...'The Statue of Liberty wears size 879 shoes...' and the first mouse was made of wood!

And then there's the magazines... I've started cutting out some pictures for a potential Glue Book.... I still don't 'get' them, but it's fun... and I need fun, as everything is going wrong! I am  SO fed up with blogger. Obviously, it's not bloggers fault that 'The Cutest blog has disappeared too, taking with it  all it's freebie backgrounds (and the links one needs to add, so you can see the background) but it doesn't help that now I can't add a new back ground. I practised on my digi blog... AGH! And thank goodness I did, because it went completely black, took away the template, and Ike's header she made me... and then, I couldn't add anything! But!!! Today, nearly a week later...the template appears to be there and I've got Ikes topper back ...so I'm playing with it...not sure what I'm doing! Anyone who does know~give me hints, please! One last thing, the Diabetic Nurse, very nice lady, said my 'whatever it was' (numbers/grades, I have no idea) has halved, which is a good thing, and to keep doing what I'm doing!   Mind you, they said that to my John and a few months later he'd suddenly passed.

Forever Freebies Painty Mess's

 

Sorry there's not been any freebies lately, but the fact that I can't just load pictures up to blogger, and have to email them to myself first, is becoming a real pain! And now, as you can see, my backgrounds on both my blogs have disappeared! Probably because where I downloaded them from years ago, The Cutestblogontheblock has also disappeared, which cuts off the link I had, I guess, to wherever they saved their blog designs...Anyway just so you know that I am still here, I'm adding my two painty messes I made the other day, just in case they might come in useful. Just click and save. I haven't finished them yet, as I want to add a few more scribbly bits, not sure what yet! 

 

I'm probably going to use the original 12x12 to make ATC's. or even journal covers, Who knows! Thank you for stopping by
 

Whats On Your Worktop #775 and a spot of Painting!

 

  What's On Your Worktop #775 already?? Yep, time waits for no one! Well, it's afternnon here. Lola's a sleep, (little dog that's staying with me at the moment) so I've nipped into my craftroom to quickly do a WOYWW!? post, that's going on, every week, over on Stamping Ground! I've done a bit of 'slap it on painting, covering an unwanted 12x12, and hoping I'll be able to turn it into tags, atc's, postcards, journal covers or something else. (Or just something that my brother in law will put into that dirt great skip he's promised to get, when I've gone...) I've sort of followed Ceri The Crafters YouTube tutorial, for the April 2024 colour combo, Makers of Mixed Media Art and Artist Facebook group, using Cream, Magenta and Teal, plus black, white and gold too, if needed. 

It's not finished yet...waiting for it to dry then, I'll add some scribbles or use my Posca pens to make shapes or even do some stamping.  

I also made  another sideways pocket tag (idea from SevenPlaza I think)  using the village's monthly church 'Link' magazine. Bluebells for spring. I think you may've already seen the other one, made from a masterboard a little while back but it wanted to join in too! Short post today, as I'm house, dog and Professor sitting tonight while Mrs Proffessor is out. Lola's coming too and she soon lets the other dogs know who's boss! Here's a picture of her this morning.... so cute!

Blogger is still not letting me load my photos in the 'normal' way, so it takes an age! And have you noticed??? My background to my blog, has disappeared!! Time For T on Tuesday. My Whizzer's Broken

 It's Tuesday, so I'm popping over to join in with Altered Book's T is for Tuesday. Above is Lola. She's staying with me at the moment and is stopping me doing any crafting! Above she's sitting on the Proffessor's lap as I spent the morning keeping him and his two dogs company while Mrs Proff was out.  I made us coffee and toasted two hot cross buns for our elevenies. As you can see  all Lola wants is Cuddles and to chase any cats that come into the  garden, or go for short walks or shopping in the doggy pram or visiting anyone. It's about all I can do! No Crafting allowed!

Oh yes...and filling her bowl with chicken, she loves chicken. My breakfast was a disaster this week, as the engine part of my fruit whizzer just sopped. It hums but longer whizzies!

Here it is...broken. Now in the other cupboard hidden in the darkest corner is a monster of a machine that John used a lot.. and it has an attachment jug.

Even that jug weighs a ton. I put the fruit in...with a bit of water.... and turned it on. It has 10 speeds and a palse...

Here it is, all moooshed up, but not as smooth as the other smaller lighter smoothie jug....(and some of the water leaked out from the bottom!)

So I took the old base into town (Lola came too) and visited all the shops I expected to find something simular... did I heck? No... "Oh, these are not really being made anymore..." or "You could try on line..." There was one, that had the grinder and the jug.... but no smoothy jug.... or a smoothy on its own. Now, if I were John, I'd take it to bits and mend it! So, after all that, Debbie my sil. sent me some online links and I did find some too (lord knows who they are) that had just what I wanted for over £110! (they weren't even half that new!)Then, the next add had the same for £49.... but who are these strange people? I'll try Debs links...later. But first...here's pictures of the Professors dogs.

   They were both resued all the way from somewhere near Greece.

 

  At the end of the day...I was totally wacked out. (Debs said I looked tired, I think she meant, old) So I got out my Harry Potter mug and had some Hot Chocolate!

Happy WOYWW!?#774.  Yes, Blogger's being a pain again! Two posts this one and another one with Easter Cards, just disappeared! And were published, naked!! I mean...with no pictures or writing or anything...just the title. Very Odd. Strange. Anyway. It's a very short post. This is what's on my kitchen top this morning. Numbers ready to be stuck onto my new Garden Waste bin. And stuff left over from making a card. So, pop over to StampingGround and join in! Thank you for stopping by!

Happy T stands for Tuesday!

 

 Happy April! First of April yesterday, which means... today, Tuesday the second, is the first time I put out my new Garden waste bin. (I lead such an exciting life...not) There wasn't much in it as it's been soooo wet, still it's the thought that counts. So I share my Breakfast this morning with T stands for Tuesday only it was very disappointing coz my blending thingy suddenly stopped working over the weekend, so no whizzed up fruit drinks for me, til I get a new one. Instead, I have been putting the fruit on my porridge... and managing to eat it with no added sugar. (yurk) Blogger's still being a pain about loading up photos and it taken me nearly all day just to get this far! So, I'll be very late joining in...

This mornings breakfast...

 I made chicken soup with the left over Easter Chicken...

  But best of all...Tom's lovely snack bought in the bike shop/cafe.

Happy Gnomey B Day David!

 

   I was invited to a Birthday Party sometime back, which all happened this last Easter weekend, I wasn't sure I'd go, because y'know, not having John to go with but then, I thought, well, why not? Go! Pop in, say hi, pop out again. Ok! But first. You have to make a Birthday Card. (Of Course) I knew I wanted to make a kind of garden scene...and would use a fancy fun fold flip out card.. or whatever they're called (my favourites) with a gnome,  flowers, dogs, maybe cats, a chicken... couldn't find a chicken, even though I know I have one somewhere...

 

First of all I started off with the stamped image by  Woodware and coloured four of them with my ProMarkers so that I could later 3D the image. Then the rainbow looked a bit odd having grass at the bottom so I found my 'cloud' dies and used them at the bottom. Seeing David's small garden is divided into sections, veg, flowers, etc I added carrots. The dog is supposed to be Big George, who I used to walk a few times a week ages back. For the background behind the gnome and the clouds in front, I used different shades of blue Distress Oxide and also used the same mixture of blue ink on the topper plus some blue mirror card. 

Because my printer is still printing out blurred images, I hunted through my many folders of downloaded freebie papers from magazines and found these rainbow/cloud papers already printed out on good paper. I then made more 'grass' using different shades of green distress Oxide  and I also diecut out some 'grass'

Some of these are LawnFawn images. The wheel barrow, pots, watering can, some of the flowers, the little folk and trowel, come from Die-cutting Essentials magazine #113, the balloons, dog house, little dog and treats are LawnFawn. All are coloured with Promarkers.

(I had a stamp, but it was pointing the other way) The Rainbow/cloud background paper, you can download for free from HERE (you may have to sign in) These papers  originally came with Paper Craft Inspiration Magazine #138 May 2015! Just to prove that the oldies are the besties!

On the back of the card, I've added a place to add your sentiments etc.
